Alan Carr

Alan is the Honorary UCU President. Having previously been the Treasurer in the AUT he played a key role in the amalgamation of AUT and NATFHE. Alan has been a staunch supporter of professional unity and member of UNIFY for many years.

Lesley

Lesley Gouldbourne was one of the small group which, in 1996, founded Professional Unity 2000 which became UNIFY. She has played a key role in our development as UNIFY Organiser, currently including being our treasurer and membership secretary.  

Special ATL & NUT Conferences

In November 2016 two education unions, ATL and NUT held special conferences to vote on whether the two unions should amalgamate.
