Hank has been central to the aims of Unify since 1996, when he was part of a core group of Brent ATL, NUT and NASWUT educators to set up an organisation called Professional Unity 2000. The initial idea was to unite education unions with the lofty ambition of achieving this in 4 years! By 2006 UCU was formed from two higher and further education unions, by 2017 ATL and NUT amalgamated to form the NEU. Hank has been instrumental in these major steps forward but we have further to go and Hank’s passion for Unify’s aims remains undiminished.
