Kim Knappett

The 2017 AGM welcomed Kim Knappett who was proposed as our Honorary President for ATL and NEU. Jean spoke about Kim’s commitment to professional unity and her integrity during all the work she had done before, during and after the amalgamation. Kim said that she was extremely honoured to be asked and was delighted to accept. Kim remembered all the negotiations, starting with a meal of key people right through to the special conferences. She spoke about her decision to stand for the ATL President role which morphed into the first NEU Presidency, so she was able to continue to work at the cutting edge of the UNIFY agenda and to make the first amalgamation an attractive example to others. Kim was welcomed as our first UNIFY NEU Honorary President.
